2004/03/21 What exactly IS an SSRR?

For those who may not know, SSRR stands for Suicide Squad Recruiting Run. It was decided at the beginning of this guild that no ordinary recruiting methods would do. We needed something that was less annoying, more amusing, and left us, the participants, eager for more. Thus the Suicide Squad Recruiting Runs were born.

Basically, the idea is to draw attention to the guild, but in a way that highlights our sense of the absurd and whacked out humor, instead of being annoying and .. spammy.

Our first run, consisted of the participants jumping off a tower in Mag Mell over and over and over. They'd die ever second jump. The fun was to aim at your old gravestone and see if you could hit it. Or what kind of fun patterns could be created by dead bodies? We created some interest, some befuddlement, and nearly wet ourselves laughing.

So, the plan is, once a month (or more as the whim strikes) all guildies will be invited to participated in a SSRR. We may also invite those outside of the guild, but with the understanding that this is about having a blast, and recruiting new members.
